Comment on 2014-2015 FAFSA by July 5

The U.S. Department of Education released the draft 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid and supporting materials. Schools and other interested parties have until July 5, 2013, to submit their comments on the draft application.

Among the changes reflected on the draft FAFSA are those related to collection of parent information as described in Dear Colleague Letter GEN-13-12. That letter notes that the FAFSA will collect information from both of a dependent student’s legal parents, without regard to the marital status or gender of those parents, if the parents live together.

Submit questions about the FAFSA and proposed changes to USA Funds®’ federal student aid policy experts, USA Funds Ask PolicySM, using an online form.
