Updated USA Funds Life Skills Lesson Addresses Social Media and Job Searches

A USA Funds® Life Skills® online course focusing on finding employment after graduation includes updated features showing how to use — and how not to use — social media when applying for a job.

USA Funds Life Skills course “301 Now That I Am About to Graduate, How Do I Find a Job?” helps students navigate the sometimes-daunting checklist of searching for and finding employment after graduation.

In this course, students can estimate a starting salary while also brushing up on the do’s and don’ts of leveraging their online and social media presence, writing a cover letter, and creating a résumé.

USA Funds Life Skills course “301 Now That I Am About to Graduate, How Do I Find a Job?” helps students understand the need for professionalism in the continually emerging digital age. The course also offers students tips on how to be mindful of their online reputation, clean up social media profiles, and use their online presence to their advantage while job hunting.

The updated course is part of the redesigned USA Funds Life Skills, launched May 31. In enhancing USA Funds Life Skills, USA Funds applied feedback received from students and college administrators regarding the program.
