David B. Boodt is responsible for overseeing and directing all legal activities of USA Funds®, providing legal guidance to the company’s officers and trustees, overseeing internal audits, and maintaining effective corporate governance.
Boodt has served as USA Funds’ general counsel since 2000. He previously served eight years as vice president and associate general counsel for USA Group, USA Funds’ former parent company.
Boodt has worked extensively with education loan operations and policy. Additionally, he has been involved in the Legal Affairs Committee of the National Council of Higher Education Resources.
He graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Indiana Law Review. Boodt received an undergraduate degree in civil engineering, magna cum laude, from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.
He serves on the Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness for Admission to the Bar of the State of Indiana, the Board of Visitors for the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law and the Indianapolis Board of Associates for Rose-Hulman.
