System Administrator 

Job Responsibilities

The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the IT infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and partners.

Key responsibilities of this position include: 

  1. Engineer and provision of  new and existing systems. 
  2. Assist and Support daily system operations. 
  3. Perform routine maintenance of USA Funds’ Infrastructure Systems. 
  4. Assist the Technology Manager in providing customer service to internal and external customers on a daily basis.

Education

Professional level of knowledge in a specialized field acquired by completing a four-year college program is required.

Experience

Minimum of 4-6 years strongly preferred total progressive experience working within a computer-based infrastructure environment

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft business applications highly preferred
  • Knowledge of server / network  / database technologies highly preferred
  • Microsoft certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of databases (specifically SQL).
  • Knowledge of USA Funds products is preferred.
  • Knowledge of best practices to guide development team on issues related to design, development and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.
