Team ensures service quality, adds value for schools, lenders
USA Funds Names Customer Relations Team
INDIANAPOLIS—USA Funds®, the nation's largest student loan guarantor, has announced the appointment of four education loan service professionals to work with campus financial aid administrators and education lenders. Members of the customer relations team determine customer needs and monitor customer satisfaction with education loan service, especially in the nine states in which USA Funds serves as the designated guarantor under the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP).
"We have assembled an experienced and enthusiastic team of customer relations experts to ensure that schools and lenders that rely on the USA Funds guarantee continue to receive the very best service available in the student loan program," said Denise B. Feser, USA Funds' vice president, Customer Relations. "Although our customers continue to work with their designated USA Funds Services representative as their primary contact, our customer relations managers provide an extra measure of attention to customer needs."
Feser announced the following appointments:
- Pamela D. Poore focuses on USA Funds' relations with customers in the eastern United States, especially those in Indiana, Maryland, and Mississippi. Poore served for the past five years with USA Group, most recently as an account executive, working with education lenders in a seven-state area. Poore is a graduate of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind. She is based in Indianapolis.
- Grace M. Smith works with USA Funds' customers in the West, especially those in Arizona, and Nevada. For the past three years, Smith has supervised staff at USA Group's Western Regional Center in Chandler, Ariz., working with lenders, schools, and borrowers to ensure their satisfaction. Smith is a graduate of the University of Phoenix. She is based in Phoenix.
- Lorraine M. Teniya works with schools and lenders in Hawaii. Teniya has been associated with USA Funds and USA Group since 1979. She previously served as director of financial aid for Chaminade University in Honolulu. Teniya earned her bachelor's degree from Monmouth College in Monmouth, Ill., and her master's degree from the University of Arizona. Teniya is based in Honolulu.
- Valerie J. Walthall serves USA Funds' customers in the Rocky Mountain region, especially those in Kansas and Wyoming. A six-year veteran of USA Group, Walthall most recently served as an associate account executive based at USA Group's office in Topeka, Kan. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree from Washburn University in Topeka. Walthall continues to be based in Topeka.
