Program assists students seeking to advance enrollment-management careers

USA Funds, Noel-Levitz Offer Scholarships for Enrollment-Management Graduate Courses

INDIANAPOLIS — Applications now are available for scholarships to help finance graduate studies in enrollment management. Funded by USA Funds®, the nation's leading education-loan guarantor, the scholarships will assist students who wish to pursue an online graduate-studies program offered by the University of Florida's Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Foundations in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education and Noel-Levitz. Noel-Levitz is a nationally recognized consulting firm specializing in higher-education student recruitment, financial aid, student retention, market research, publications and Web development.

The graduate program consists of a 16-credit-hour certificate in enrollment management. All coursework is offered online and carries full graduate credit.

The USA Funds/Noel-Levitz scholarship program encourages applications from enrollment-management employees of institutions where members of ethnic minorities constitute 50 percent or more of the student population. The application deadline is June 1, 2002.

The maximum scholarship amount is $10,000.

"USA Funds hopes that this scholarship program will enhance the skills of enrollment-management professionals to strengthen student-recruitment and retention efforts at minority-serving postsecondary institutions and to help students attending those institutions successfully complete their studies," said Carl C. Dalstrom, USA Funds president and CEO.
