USA Funds Awards $94,500 in Scholarships
INDIANAPOLIS — USA Funds®, the nation's leading education-loan guarantor, announces the award of scholarships totaling $94,500 to 63 students who recently graduated from high schools in communities in which USA Funds has offices. Each of the USA Funds Scholars will receive $1,500 one-time scholarships for postsecondary studies. The students were selected by staff at their high schools based on the student's academic performance, participation in extracurricular activities or community service, exemplary personal character and financial need.
"By providing these scholarships, we are furthering our mission in support of access to education and giving back to the communities in which USA Funds' staff live and work," said Carl C. Dalstrom, USA Funds president and CEO. "In addition to this community scholarship program, we will announce the recipients of our $3-million national scholarship program later this summer."
