Awards recognize 185 graduating high-school seniors as USA Funds Scholars
USA Funds awards $277,500 in scholarships
INDIANAPOLIS — USA Funds®, the nation's leading education-loan guarantor, announces the award of scholarships totaling $277,500 to 185 graduating seniors from high schools in eight states and the District of Columbia. Each of the USA Funds Scholars will receive $1,500 one-time scholarships for postsecondary studies. The students were selected by staff at their high schools based on the students' academic performance, participation in extracurricular activities or community service, exemplary personal character and financial need.
“These scholarships assist students in communities in which USA Funds' employees live and work and in states that USA Funds serves as the designated guarantor of federal education loans,” said Carl C. Dalstrom, USA Funds president and CEO. "In keeping with our nonprofit mission, these scholarships help deserving students pursue higher education."
