USA Funds University Introduces Four New Online-Learning Courses
USA Funds® University has released four new online-learning courses to help financial-aid professionals enhance their skills. The new courses cover the following topics:
- Private Education Loans provides information about this resource to help students finance their educations after all other financial-aid options have been exhausted. Course lessons describe how you can help students choose the best private loans for them, how to process private education loans, and how the loans may affect students’ other financial aid.
- Consumer-Information Requirements summarizes the school requirements for preparing and disseminating consumer information to students, staff, the public and the U.S. Department of Education. Course lessons help learners identify categories of information that institutions must provide, describe the requirements for and how to disseminate the information, and list the required school-information reports and their deadlines.
- Veterans-Assistance Education Benefits assists financial-aid administrators in understanding educational benefits available to U.S. veterans. The course describes the rules and requirements that schools must follow when processing financial aid for students who receive veterans-education benefits. The course also provides guidelines for veterans completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and covers loan-repayment benefits available to veterans.
- Identity Theft summarizes the types of identity theft, how identity theft happens, and the steps that individuals should take to prevent it, as well as what to do if identity theft occurs. This course is a valuable resource for educating financial-aid staff and students about identity theft.

All of the courses provide interactive exercises, realistic case studies, and pre- and post-course assessments to measure the mastery of the information.
USA Funds University now offers 43 online courses for financial-aid and education-lending professionals. View details of each course.
