Online Course Offers Refresher of FAFSA-Filing Basics
With College Goal Sunday events under way, and students completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, financial aid administrators may find it helpful to review the basics of filing the FAFSA. The USA Funds® online course “Understanding the FAFSA” reviews the application process for those who plan to assist students with their applications.
The course provides a step-by-step resource for those who may be new to the filing process or as a quick refresher to those with more experience. It offers an overview of the FAFSA and the instruction booklet, the application process and the options for filing the FAFSA.
USA Funds also offers the online course to College Goal Sunday volunteers in the eight states where USA Funds provides support for the events: Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Mississippi and Wyoming. The course is available to those who assist students and families at the events; volunteers may access the course before and during their College Goal Sunday programs.
“Understanding the FAFSA” is one of more than 60 courses available at no cost in USA Funds University’s online learning curriculum. USA Funds University offers other courses as part of a comprehensive training program that helps student workers, financial aid administrators and education lending professionals enhance their skills.
