Branton Joins USA Funds' Staff

USA Funds® announces the appointment of Brian Branton as vice president, congressional relations, in its Washington, D.C., office. Branton will be responsible for advancing USA Funds’ nonprofit mission of enhancing preparation for, access to and success in higher education with members of Congress and their staffs.

Branton most recently served as chief of staff to Rep. Joe Sestak, D-Pa. He previously served on the staffs of Rep. David Wu, D-Ore.; Rep. Rush Holt, D-N.J.; and the late Rep. Patsy Mink, D-Hawaii. Branton also served as an aide to the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Aging.

Branton received a law degree from Washington College of Law of American University. He earned an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

“I look forward to the opportunity to better inform federal policy-makers about the critical role that student-loan guarantors, like USA Funds, play in helping American families prepare and pay for higher education,” Branton said.

Branton begins work with USA Funds today.
