Meteor Network Can Help Students Manage Loans

MeteorIn today’s world of increased split servicing of education loans, USA Funds® reminds schools that a tool it supports can help students keep track of their loans.

The Meteor Network provides users with the ability to track and manage their student loans, regardless of the loans’ sources. If your campus offers Meteor, your students can find the holder of all their Federal Family Education Loan Program and direct loans, and many private/alternative loans.

The Meteor Network is a collaborative student loan industry effort coordinated through the National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs to retrieve and aggregate student financial award information for financial aid professionals and borrowers.

Several online tools from USA Funds also offer students and financial aid professionals access to loan information from the Meteor Network:

USA Funds is a supporter of the Meteor Network. Brian Allison, USA Funds vice president, technology initiatives, is a member of the NCHELP Meteor advisory team and the Meteor steering committee.

For more information about Meteor and the USA Funds products that access it, contact Jenny Jackson, USA Funds manager, technology initiatives, by e-mail or by calling (317) 806-0133.
