USA Funds Continues Support of Mapping Your Future

Mapping Your FutureUSA Funds® continues to support student-loan-community initiatives, including the Mapping Your Future Web site. The mission of Mapping Your Future is to provide students and parents detailed information about planning for college, financing higher education, entrance and exit counseling, and preparing for life after college.

The award-winning Web site is sponsored by a group of guarantors, including USA Funds, that participate in the Federal Family Education Loan Program.

Brian AllisonBrian Allison, USA Funds vice president of technology and industry initiatives, has joined the Mapping Your Future steering committee. The steering committee works with the Mapping Your Future executive director and board in strategic planning and development of the site.
 
Mapping Your Future offers information and online tools to visitors including:

  • Middle- and high-school students.
  • Graduate students.
  • Adult students.
  • Student-loan borrowers.
  • Parents.
  • Middle- and high-school counselors.
  • Financial-aid professionals.

The Web site also offers information and a variety of online tools to help families prepare for college and to help students succeed in college:

  • Early awareness tools, including CareerShip, an interactive feature that offers information about career options.
  • Financial-literacy and default-prevention tips.
  • Parent guide to PLUS loans.
  • Live chat events that allow visitors to ask questions and receive answers in real time about a variety of college-planning topics.
