Department Issues Final Rules on Student-Aid Changes, New Grant Programs
The U.S. Department of Education has published final regulations to implement changes in federal student-aid programs resulting from the Higher Education Reconciliation Act of 2005 and other recently enacted legislation. Common Manual Policy Committee Notes Correction
The Common Manual Policy Committee noted an error in the October 2006 publication of the annual Common Manual. The error is in Figure 11-1, the Deferment Eligibility Chart. Special Common Bulletin batch 131, proposal 881 describes the error and provides the corrected Figure 11-1.
