Updated, Combined Entrance and Exit Form Now Available

USA Funds^® has updated its loan counseling interview forms to create a new, combined entrance and exit form that contains language consistent with the new counseling requirements.

Below are the major changes to the form:

• Entrance and exit counseling information is combined in one form.
• The revised text meets new counseling requirements enacted in the Higher Education Opportunity Act.
• A new chart outlines the estimated repayment amounts for the standard repayment plan.

USA Funds’ new combined entrance and exit counseling form is available for ordering from the USA Funds Web site.

The form is for use with student loan counseling, required under the Federal Family Education Loan Program. Schools must provide entrance counseling to first-time student-borrowers before making their first disbursement available. Schools must offer exit counseling at the following times:

• Before a student graduates.
• When a student drops below half-time attendance.
• Before a student transfers to another institution.
