USA Funds University Fall Workshops Begin Oct. 6

USA Funds UniversityMore than 60 USA Funds® University Financial Aid Workshops in cities throughout the nation will provide legislative updates and share guidance from the U.S. Department of Education. Workshops begin in Jacksonville, Fla., on Oct. 6.

Register for a workshop near you to engage with your colleagues, and learn about current and past legislation and regulations, options for professional judgment, the life cycle of a Stafford loan and new USA Funds tools. Workshops begin at 8 a.m. and adjourn at 12:30 p.m.

Training sessions will:

  • Examine how the financial aid landscape has changed recently — and help you prepare for additional changes yet to come.
  • Discuss how professional judgment is even more important in today’s economy, to help address students’ unique financial circumstances.
  • Follow the life cycle of a Stafford loan and build a better understanding of how students are dealing with their education loan debt.
  • Demonstrate how new USA Funds financial literacy, loan counseling and default prevention resources can help you improve your students’ success.
