USA Funds Webcasts to Provide Overview of Higher Education Opportunity Act

USA Funds® will host two webcasts this month to provide financial aid and education lending professionals an overview of changes to student loan terms enacted in the Higher Education Opportunity Act.

USA Funds’ policy advisers will discuss provisions of the reauthorization legislation that affect the terms of Federal Family Education Loan Program loans and private education loans. One webcast will focus on provisions of the act that primarily affect campus financial aid administrators; the other webcast will highlight provisions of primary interest to education lenders.

USA Funds invites financial aid administrators and education lenders to participate in either or both of the following webcasts:

HEOA Webcast on School-Related Issues
Thursday, Sept. 18, 3-4:30 p.m. Eastern time.
Presenters: Rick Buckingham, vice president, policy and compliance;
Sheryl Mahoney, policy adviser.
Register for this webcast.

HEOA Webcast on Lender-Related Issues
Thursday, Sept. 25, 3-4:30 p.m. Eastern time.
Presenters: Rick Buckingham, vice president, policy and compliance;
Brenda Grady, policy adviser.
Register for this webcast.

There is no charge to participants for either webcast, although advance registration is required.

USA Funds encourages webcast participants to submit their questions regarding the FFELP and private loan provisions of HEOA in advance of the webcasts.  E-mail your questions in advance, so USA Funds’ policy advisers can research and better respond to specific issues of interest to the financial aid and education lending communities during the webcasts.
