OpenNet to Offer Web Loan-Delivery and Reporting Enhancements

May 23 enhancements to OpenNet's Web Loan Delivery and Query and Reporting modules will give schools more flexibility in customizing OpenNet to fit their processing scenarios.

OpenNet Web Loan Delivery enhancements
1. Schools can request that the lender name commonly used by financial-aid staff and borrowers be the one displayed on certain OpenNet screens they view. This enhancement will prevent confusion in cases in which the lender's official name differs from the name that is most recognized on campus.

Schools may request the lender-name change for the following screens:

  • School-application-processing flow.
  • Borrower-application-processing flow.
  • Lender maintenance.

2. To request the change, schools must contact their USA Funds® Services technical consultants or call technical support at (800) 348-4606. A new “Express Query” feature will allow school-users to conduct a campus-specific search for loan applications that are awaiting school certification. By narrowing the search, this enhancement will allow financial-aid administrators to more quickly find the appropriate loan records. Unless otherwise specified, the search will default to the main campus.

OpenNet Query and Reporting enhancements
OpenNet's Query and Reporting function will add fields for export and display, providing more options for school and lender reports.

New exportable fields will include the following:

  • Borrower citizenship code.
  • Borrower alien ID.
  • Borrower state of residency.
  • Borrower residency-since date.
  • Master Promissory Note expiration date.

Fields that will be available for both export and display in customized loan and disbursement reports will include:

  • Borrower citizenship code.
  • Borrower alien ID.
  • Borrower state of residency.
  • Borrower residency-since date.

If you have questions about these OpenNet changes, contact technical assistance at (800) 348-4606.
