Enhancements to Borrower Debt Management Information Service Available Oct. 24

USA Funds® announces that the Borrower Debt Management Information Service, which helps borrowers keep track of their student-loan indebtedness, will offer schools two enhancements effective Oct. 24.

  1. Rerun borrower debt-management reports.
Schools can request that borrower debt-management reports be rerun for individual borrowers or groups of borrowers. They may request reruns of reports covering graduation dates for the previous six months.

To request a report rerun, contact USA Funds’ guarantor-service provider, Sallie Mae, at (800) 824-7044.

  2. Inclusion of NSLDS or private-loan data.
The Borrower Debt Management Information Service will include in reports for schools data from the National Student Loan Data System. Private-loan data stored on the CLASS servicing system of USA Funds’ guarantor-servicer also will be included. The inclusion of NSLDS and private-loan data offers borrowers a more-complete picture of their indebtedness.

Borrower Debt Management Information Service reports will include a code indicating the source of the loan data. Codes are as follows:

  • G — guarantor.
  • S — servicer/CLASS system.
  • N — NSLDS.

To request that your school’s Borrower Debt Management Information Service reports include NSLDS or private-loan data, contact your USA Funds Services representative.
