CASFAA Honors USA Funds Services Representative
Cheryl Foster, a USA Funds® Services account executive, has received the Distinguished Service Award from the California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
The award, presented at last week’s annual CASFAA conference, honors “outstanding and dedicated service to the financial-aid profession.” In the presentation of the award, Foster was praised as “a guiding force in the outreach efforts statewide by CASFAA and individual campuses.”
Foster has been active on CASFAA’s high-school-relations committee, which she chaired in 2000 and 2001. Over the last decade, Foster has assisted the committee with annual workshops for high-school counselors. She has shared outreach presentations with financial-aid professionals throughout California and in other states.
She joined USA Funds Services in 2006 and has been involved in the college-financial-aid community for 17 years. Foster’s experience includes positions as school financial-aid administrator, education-lender outreach specialist, and guarantor training specialist.
“It is an honor to have been chosen as the recipient for this award,” Foster says. “This association has done so much for me in my professional development that I have made it a priority to do whatever I can to give back.”
