USA Funds has issued a new edition of its quarterly newsletter highlighting USA Funds’ support of programs that enhance preparation for, access to and success in higher education. This issue of “USA Funds Education Partnerships” focuses on a Web-based college and career readiness program that USA Funds is supporting in seven states, a USA Funds vice president’s work to advance core values through Girl Scouts, and the difference that the national College Access Initiative is making. Commission Recommends 10 Steps to Enhance Educational Attainment
The College Board announced a report that notes a decline in educational attainment among 25- to 34-year-olds in the United States, and recommends action to take to curb the trend. “Coming to Our Senses: Education and the American Future” focuses on 10 steps to take to reach a goal of ensuring that at least 55 percent of the U.S. population holds a college degree or certificate by 2025. The College Board’s Commission on Access, Admissions and Success in Higher Education compiled the report. You will need Adobe Reader to access the report online.
