Federal Reserve Publishes New Private Education Loan Regulations
The Federal Reserve System has published final regulations making changes in certain Truth in Lending Act provisions governing private education loan terms, conditions and disclosures. The changes — enacted in the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 — affect postsecondary institutions as well as lenders of private education loans.
