Student-Loan-Counseling Results Available Through OpenNet
Financial-aid administrators soon will have access to their student-loan-counseling-results reports directly through the OpenNet loan-delivery system.
Effective Oct. 24, 2005, USA Funds®’ school-customers will have the option to view and print student-loan-counseling results within OpenNet Web Loan Delivery. Previously, financial-aid administrators using OpenNet retrieved loan-counseling reports only through the mainframe service Document Direct for the Internet.
In order to access OpenNet’s report-results service, schools must receive approval from a USA Funds Services representative and use OpenNet’s Student Loan Counseling. Once approved and set up to receive the report results through OpenNet, each school’s OpenNet administrator can set up individual users on campus to view and print loan-counseling results.
Financial-aid staff will be able to perform queries for individual students through the “Individual Inquiry” menu or for groups of students through the “Retrieve Student Loan Counseling Results” option within the “Query and Reporting” menu.
Additional query options for accessing results include:
- Date.
- Date range.
- Completion time (past two-to-24 hours).
- Type of counseling completed, such as entrance, exit, graduate-exit, or annual Master Promissory Note.

Schools can export the loan-counseling results into a Microsoft Excel or Comma Separated Value file.
