USA Funds-Sponsored Magazines Focus on College and Careers

USA Funds® provided financial support for publications that help students make plans for education and careers after high school

For the sixth-consecutive year, USA Funds serves as corporate sponsor of the magazine Next Indiana: A Guide to Life After High School. For the fifth-consecutive year, USA Funds is the corporate sponsor of GRAD magazine.

Next Indiana
Next Indiana is a publication of the Indiana Department of Education, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and IBJ Media. Next Indiana provides information about the options available to students after high school and about topics such as handling finances and choosing a career. The magazine recently was delivered to more than 260,000 juniors and seniors in high schools throughout Indiana.

As part of its sponsorship of Next Indiana, USA Funds also is providing a high-school senior a $1,500 scholarship for use at an Indiana postsecondary institution. IBJ Media will randomly select the scholarship recipient’s name in the spring from Next Indiana reply cards, which also permit students to request information about careers, Indiana schools and Indiana companies.

GRAD
GRAD is a publication of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, Indiana Economic Development Corp. and IBJ Media. GRAD focuses on graduate-study opportunities, employment prospects and quality of life in Indiana. The magazine recently was distributed to 80,000 juniors and seniors at Indiana colleges and universities.

For GRAD, USA Funds is providing a $1,500 scholarship for a student to attend an Indiana graduate school. IBJ Media also will select this scholarship recipient randomly in the spring from reply cards that readers can return to request additional information about college and careers in Indiana.

Additionally, USA Funds was a key source of information for Next Indiana’s and GRAD’s financial-aid sections.

Mississippi and Louisiana publications
For the fourth-consecutive year, USA Funds also provided financial support for the publication of Mississippi Next and Louisiana Next magazines. As part of its sponsorship of Mississippi Next magazine, USA Funds is funding a $1,500 scholarship to a 2007-graduating Mississippi high-school senior for use at any Mississippi postsecondary-education institution.

USA Funds’ sponsorship of these college- and career-planning publications is in support of its mission to enhance higher-education preparedness, access and success.
