New System to Speed Process for AmeriCorps Forbearances

The Corporation for National & Community Service issued a letter that provides details about its automated loan-payment system, scheduled to be available in late summer. Among the system’s benefits will be a quicker forbearance-certification process for borrowers in AmeriCorps programs. The system will permit those borrowers to request forbearances on their education loans online as soon as they become members.
