Feb. 26 Webinar to Offer Status Report on Federal Family Education Loan Program
America’s Student Loan Providers will host a webinar for financial aid administrators about the status of the Federal Family Education Loan Program. The event will be from 1-2 p.m. Eastern time Feb. 26. The webinar will provide an update on government liquidity programs that are helping provide students and parents uninterrupted access to federal student loans, as well as student loan community programs that are helping students, families and schools successfully manage student loan repayment and prevent defaults.
Michael McFarlane, chairman of the Consumer Bankers Association education funding committee, and senior vice president for education finance at Citizens Bank, will moderate the webinar. McFarlane also serves on the board of directors for ELM Resources.
Presenters will include:
- Daniel Madzelan, director of forecasting and policy analysis staff, U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education, and acting assistant secretary for postsecondary education.
- Hannah Smitterberg, managing director, Nelnet.
- Terry Muilenburg, senior vice president, government and industry relations, USA Funds®.
