New Forms Reflect Upcoming Change in PLUS-Loan Provisions

The National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs has provided an updated Default Aversion Assistance Request Form, Claim Form and Supplemental Claim Form, which include identifiers for the Federal PLUS loan for graduate and professional students.

These new forms are for use beginning July 1, 2006. USA Funds® will continue to accept the prior version of each form for 60 days, however, to allow lenders and servicers sufficient time to update their internal processes.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to access the forms.

The Higher Education Reconciliation Act of 2005 permits graduate and professional students to take out PLUS loans beginning July 1, 2006.
