Report Finds Little Change in Student-Loan-Debt Burdens From Early to Late 1990s
A new report from the National Center for Education Statistics discloses that, although the percentage of bachelor-degree recipients who borrowed for college and the average amount borrowed rose between the 1992-1993 and 1999-2000 academic years, the average debt burden, which compares loan payments to salary, stayed about the same.
