House Votes to Extend Higher Education Act Again

The U.S. House has approved another extension of the Higher Education Act, which authorizes the major federal student-aid programs. On a voice vote, the House extended the current program authorizations under the HEA until April 30, 2008. The current extension expires Oct. 31. The Senate has not yet acted on the extension.
