Important: To qualify for federal and state financial aid, you must file the FAFSA. To ensure priority consideration for Arizona state scholarships and grants, your FAFSA must be submitted online or received by June 30.

State Residency Requirement

To qualify for in-state tuition rates, you must:

  • Have lived in Arizona for 12 consecutive months.

  • Show obvious intent to become a resident (motor vehicle registration, transfer of banking services, employment, etc.).

  • Demonstrate financial independence (veteran of military or not claimed on parent taxes).

  • Graduation Requirements

    Students must meet aptitude and academic competency requirements to be admitted to Arizona's University System.
