Danyelle Cross’ excellent work in two separate situations earned her the praise of a USA Funds^® Services vice president and region executive. It also earned her a USA Funds “There for You” award for outstanding customer service.

Cross, a service coordinator, worked with a variety of entities involved in a Federal Consolidation loan in resolving a repayment issue for a borrower. After contacting each of the organizations involved with the loan, as well as the U.S. Department of Education, the borrower — an employee on a college campus — contacted that school’s financial-aid director for help. The financial-aid director turned to Larry Viterna, USA Funds Services vice president and sales manager, who connected the borrower with Cross.

“She contacted the borrower and the entities several times to figure out a workable solution that made the borrower very pleased that someone finally had listened and taken action to correct the error,” Viterna said of Cross in nominating her for the award.

Viterna also cited Cross’ excellent service in working with a school to help ensure the smooth guarantee of its Federal PLUS loans.

“Danyelle was able to quickly track setups for a multiple-campus school. She made a needed change and had things flowing smoothly before we left the campus,” Viterna said. “Everything she does is done in a professional manner, and we appreciate her a lot!”
