Borrowers having problems repaying their student loans praised Libbie Ledford for providing straightforward assistance that helped them get back on the road to successful repayment.
Ledford’s work as a default-prevention specialist earned her a USA Funds® “There for You” award for outstanding customer service. After serving as a default-prevention specialist since February 2005, Ledford recently became a lender analyst.
Default-prevention specialists are among the team of 200 professionals who work on behalf of USA Funds to help student-loan borrowers whose payments are seriously past-due avoid the consequences of default.
“I think for the first time since I have been dealing with student-loan offices, I finally talked to someone who gave me straight, precise and clear answers,” wrote one borrower whom Ledford assisted. “I wish that the people working in that business were all like you.”
Ledford’s ability to clearly explain borrowers’ options to them prompted another borrower to write, “It can be a pretty complicated process, but you made it real simple today.”
