Mitra Mixon aims to employ patience and a positive attitude in all aspects of her job as a customer-service professional. Both attributes certainly came into play in her recent work assisting an education-loan borrower from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
The borrower, who needed help resolving a billing issue, contacted Mixon's then-supervisor Chadd Bowles to report Mixon's excellent service.
“Speaking with Mitra Mixon resolved my problem,” the borrower told Bowles. “Ms. Mixon was very helpful in resolving my issue, and she even sent the correct information by mail. On a few occasions, Ms. Mixon contacted me by phone checking to see if my request had been satisfied.”
Mixon has been a customer-service professional, handling incoming calls from borrowers, for two-and-a-half years. The assistance that she provided the IUPUI student-borrower recently earned her a USA Funds® "There for You" award for outstanding customer service.
“This is a perfect example of the great service that Mitra Mixon provides each day,” Bowles wrote in nominating Mixon for the award.
